Definition
Anonymous call rejection is a telephone feature that prevents anonymous callers from reaching you. When active, the feature automatically rejects all calls from blocked and unknown numbers as well as those without caller ID.
The caller then gets a message that they are trying to reach someone who does not accept anonymous calls.
Advantages of Using Anonymous Call Rejection
Anonymous call rejection gives users more privacy and prevents unwanted calls. It is also a great way of protecting yourself against scammers and fraudsters who bait victims through phone calls.
Disadvantages of Using Anonymous Call Rejection
Not all anonymous calls are unwanted. The fact that you don’t know whose number you are blocking means you could be missing out on something important. Picking an anonymous call can save a life, give you a job, or even tell you about a lottery you participated in. Also, some anonymous callers do not know their caller ID is hidden.
