History of Wearable Computers
One of the first instances of wearable technology was developed in China in the 17th century when an inventor built an abacus-encrusted ring. During World War 1, cameras were attached to pigeons to photograph enemy forces.
In the 1970s, portable radios and calculator watches known as Walkman were introduced. The following decade saw the launch of a video game watch, the first wrist computer, and a PC worn over the user’s eyes. Furthermore, the first cell phone was marketed to clients at this time.
During the 1990s, a sneaker phone and several prototypes were developed, which became popular in the 2000s, when most wearable computers were invented and polished.
