The Dovado UMR_Broadband routers come with a simple firewall that offers essential safety by protecting your home network from illegal access from the internet. You may be required to open a specific port for particular games and programs since this firewall blocks inbound connections. You may use the port forwarding technique to do this. Please refer to the following setup instructions for your Dovado router to set up port forwarding.

To open a port, follow these steps:

  • Assign your PC or device a static IP address.
  • Access your Dovado UMR mobile Broadband router’s login page.
  • Go to the port forwarding section.
  • Click on the LAN link.
  • Select the Port Forwarding link.
  • Create a new port forward entry.

Step 1: Set the device you wish to forward a port with a static IP address. It ensures that your ports remain open even if your device restarts.

Step 2: We’ll now log into your Dovado UMR_Broadband router. 

  • Open your preferred web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Edge).
  • Go to the browser window’s top and look for the address bar.
  • Replace the existing content in the address bar (e.g., 192.168.0.1) with the IP address of your Dovado UMR_Broadband router. This IP address is also known as your computer’s default gateway and is typically set to 192.168.0.1.
  • After entering the router’s IP address, press the “Enter” key or the “Go” button.
  • A login box will appear, requesting your username and password.
  • Use the following default credentials for the Dovado UMR mobile Broadband Router:
    • Username: admin
    • Password: password
  • Fill up the appropriate boxes with your username and password.
  • Select the “Login” button to access your Dovado UMR_Broadband router.

Step 3: To begin, locate the port forwarding section on your router. 

  • Find and click on the LAN link towards the page’s left side. 
  • Next, click on the Port Forwarding link near the page’s top.

Step 4: Go to the “Ports” box. Enter the port you want to forward.

  • Select the protocol type from the dropdown menu.
  • Enter the destination IP address for the forwarded ports.
  • If running a program on a different device, enter its IP address instead.
  • Click the “Destination Port” button to finish.
