The TP-Link TL-WR940N routers come with a very simple firewall that aids in preventing unauthorized access to your home network from the internet. You might need to open a port through this firewall since it restricts incoming connections to use some games and apps.

You may use the port forwarding technique to do this. Please refer to the following setup instructions for your TP-Link router to set up port forwarding.

ExtremeVPN’s Port Forwarding Add-On – An Easy and Secured Way

Our Port Forwarding add-on is ideal if you want to avoid the mass of manually opening ports because it makes life so much simpler. You may simultaneously use ExtremeVPN and port forwarding, enabling safe and easy communication with any server or device worldwide.
