The Draytek Vigor2930 routers come with a fairly simple firewall that aids in defending your home network from unauthorized internet access. You might need to open a port through this firewall for specific games and programs since it restricts inbound connections.

You may use the port forwarding technique to do this. Please refer to the following setup instructions for your Draytek router to set up port forwarding.

  • Go to the port forwarding section.
  • Create a port forward entry.
  • Click the NAT link.
  • Select Port Redirection.
  • Click the Index Number link.
  • Choose either Range or Single to forward ports.

We’ll guide you through each step for your Draytek Vigor 2930 router to make it easier.

Step 1: Set the device you wish to forward a port with a static IP address. It ensures that your ports remain open even if your device restarts.

  • Refer to our Router setup guide for instructions on setting up a static IP address.

Step 2: We’ll now log into your Draytek router:

  • Open your preferred web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Edge).
  • Locate the address bar in your web browser.
  • Replace the current address (192.168.1.1) in the address bar with the IP address of your Draytek router.
  • Press the Enter key to proceed.
  • A login box will appear, prompting you for a username and password.
  • Enter your username and password.
  • Click the Login button to access your Draytek Vigor2930 router.

If unable to log in using the provided instructions, check if the router’s IP address has been changed. For assistance, refer to our “How to Find Your Router’s IP Address” guide.

  • The default username for the Draytek Vigor 2930 router is “admin.”
  • The default password for the Draytek Vigor 2930 router is “password.”

Step 3: Find the port forwarding section in your router:

  • Click on the NAT link on the left side of the page.
  • Look for a new menu and click on Port Redirection.
  • Click on the Index Number link in the center of the page.
  • Your router has two sections for port forwarding. To forward a range of ports, choose Range. For a single port, choose Single.

Step 4: Open the Mode dropdown box and choose Single or Ranged:

  • Provide a name in the Service Name box. The name doesn’t affect the forward’s functionality; it’s just for your reference.
  • From the Protocol box, select the protocol type for the ports you want to forward.
  • Choose All from the WAN IP dropdown box.
  • In both the Public Port and Private Port boxes, enter the port want to forward.
  • Type the device’s IP address you want to forward ports to in the Private IP box. It can be your computer’s IP or another device’s IP on your network.
  • Click the Ok button when finished.
